Hello Readers!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I’d love to hear back from you regarding my new article in the Nanaimo Magazine. Any input into small steps towards a greener lifestyle would be appreciated.
This is also a chance for me to let you know about my new book, “Someone Else’s Shoes,” set on the beautiful west coast. Read more…
Dear Lesley,
People in eastern Canada are complaining about one of the coldest winters ever.As a geologist, I know that carbon dioxide levels trail earth temperature increases so they are not the cause. So man isn’t the cause. That’s not to say that we aren’t experiencing climate changes but these are natural phenomena. Not that long ago we were worried about a new ice age. I do, however, think your suggestions are terrific and plan on discussing the shower idea with my wife as soon as I’m finished here!Regardless of the weather, pollution is a problem which we all must work to solve.I noticed that you are an artist- so is my wife. You can see her stuff at http://www.vickieturner.com . It scares me to death but people buy it.Enjoy the warm weather- it won’t be like this every winter. All the best, Peter Turner, Nanoose Bay
psI feel that humanity plays an insignificant role in climate change. We are, however, a major source of pollution and while pollution may not lead to climate change, it is causing significant damage to the earth.
Thanks for responding to my latest article in Nanaimo Magazine, Peter. It’s interesting to get a scientist’s point of view!

I enjoyed reading about your progressing romance, engagement, nuptuals and honeymoon. Just one question, where did you meet your new guy and how do I meet one like that? (seriously!)
You’re a lucky gal!
Hi Debbie!
Thank you for your comments… always nice to hear something positive
My advice is, pick a farm boy. Hardworking, helpful, handy…. (actually I only know one farm boy, and he’s taken)
Good luck
Lesley
